1515 I STREET

Bringing 84 new affordable homes to the vibrant core of Sacramento, this project strengthens the city’s commitment to inclusive urban living. Located on I Street between 15th and 16th Streets, the development embraces density, walkability, and connection—key principles of a thriving downtown community.

Rising eight stories, the building includes 70 one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom apartments thoughtfully organized from levels two through eight. Each residential floor incorporates shared amenities such as laundry facilities and utility spaces to ensure both convenience and efficiency. The ground floor serves as the social and functional heart of the building, featuring a welcoming I Street lobby with views into the landscaped courtyard, as well as property management offices, community spaces, and bike storage.

At the center of the development, a two-tiered courtyard offers a dynamic outdoor retreat with a children’s play area, outdoor kitchen, and a range of seating and green pathways that foster recreation and connection. Along I Street, shared balconies activate the façade and encourage residents to engage with the street life below, while Historic Alley provides access to parking and essential building services.

By transforming an underutilized downtown parcel into a vibrant, inclusive community, this project contributes to the evolving story of Sacramento’s urban core—bringing density, dignity, and design together in one meaningful place to call home.
