Mogavero Architects received the Platinum award from NAHB for the nation’s Best in American Living design awards program… the best in America for multifamily rental projects for Capitol Yards, which include 270 residences located in West Sacramento.
Nathaniel Sebok, a Principal at Mogavero Architects says, “We are tremendously appreciative of this honor coming from the National Association of Home Builders, one of the premier real estate associations in the country. Additionally, we were fortunate our client, The Wolff Company had the vision for a catalyst project in West Sacramento. The surrounding area in West Sacramento is quickly developing and becoming an exciting, walkable neighborhood.”
The buildings of Capitol Yards are arranged to create pedestrian courtyards at the front entrance, providing an intimate gathering venue for casual interactions and special occasions. Each courtyard has a different size, design, and amenity creating a micro-neighborhood within the adjacent city. The clubhouse is a dynamic building and a prominent feature at the main entrance into West Sacramento. It contains leasing offices and residential community facilities, including a lounge, kitchen, gym, business center, meeting rooms and a pool.
The judges from NAHB for the Best in American Living cited the clubhouse for its unusual and sophisticated plan, and the “first rate” design of the residences.
This is the second year in a row that Mogavero Architects has received recognition from National Association of Home Builders for their multifamily design work. This is the first occasion the firm has received the top Platinum award.
