Mogavero Architects has begun the planning process for a new cohousing community. This new development envisions 18 new homes on 1-acre in the North Oak Park neighborhood. The project seeks to preserve the existing 1930’s First English Lutheran Church building at the corner of 39th Street and 4th Avenue which will serve as the common house for the cohousing development.
Please join us for a cohousing information meeting on site in the original church at 3860 4th Avenue on December 16th 2014 at 6:30 pm. We would like to share our experience with cohousing and our vision for this project, hear from a current cohousing resident and from a member of First English Lutheran Church, have a tour of the old building, and enjoy a discussion about cohousing.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Alysia Nordberg at anordberg@mognot.com or 916.443.1033 to RSVP. If you are unable to attend, but are interested in cohousing, please contact Alysia to be added to the interest list and notified about future meetings.
I’m so excited about this opportunity! This would be a double-dream come true: become a home owner in Oak Park, and, become part of a CoHousing Community.
We are planning on attending.
I will be attending the event
I have been looking into Co-Housing as an option for my family for years. I currently live on the East Coast but plan on moving back West in the coming years. I would love to keep abreast of the developments. Best of luck!
I will be attending!
Hi Paul from the East Coast! Sacramento misses you and Carla!
I plan on attending tonight.
I could not attend the meeting last Tuesday evening because of the rain storm that night. Do you have information on planning and financing? What kind of units? Which site exactly? Ownerships or mortgages offered?
